About the college
The > Institute Of Nursing Education, is a part of the Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation. This institute was started in the year 2008 and initially the BSc course was started with an intake of 50 students. The institute also has a Post Basic course that was started in the year 2010. The college has a future plan of including a Masters programme in Nursing and a PhD in nursing. The institute also plans to enhance the number of seats in the BSc course. Starting of various short term certificate courses is also on the anvil.

2. Pass in RGNM / GNM
3. You should be medically fit

c) Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. Minimum 40% marks necessary
d) Should appear in the Entrance test

If you are eligible to study in the course, you have to procure the application form from the institute. The applications are given anytime after March – April. You can fill the application with the relevant details and then submit it by early May. The entrance exam will be conducted at different dates each year. And the date of the exam will be intimated to you, if you have also applied for the course.

For the RGNM and BSc nursing courses, questions are usually from Higher secondary subjects. You will have multiple choice questions in the entrance test. The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Also, there could be a few general knowledge questions. The marks obtained by you in this common entrance test is used for the final selection.
For selection to Post Basic B.Sc nursing, the selection is based on the performance of the common entrance test, where the questions will be MCQ’s from the qualifying exam subjects (DGNM / RGNM syllabus).

Library and Internet: The Institute Of Nursing Education, Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation has a huge collection of text books relating to nursing. The journals of national and international publishers, related to field of nursing, are also available. The library has a lot of space to accommodate all the students at the same time. Internet facilities can be accessed in the computer lab that has latest high end computers with Wi-Fi facilities. The computer lab can accommodate more than 40 students at the same time.
Labs: The Nutrition lab has all equipment to plan and prepare the diet for all kinds of diseases. It can accommodate about 60 students at any time. The Nursing foundation lab is appropriately equipped with mannequins. It also has other infrastructure to ensure that students acquire knowledge and skills.
