Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati was established in the year 2006 under aegis of Army Welfare Education Society for the wards of serving and exservicemen of Indian Army with a annual intake of 40 students per year. As a welfare measure, towards people residing in north east region, 10% seats are reserved for the civilian girls who are domicile of seven North East States.

– Test guidance / Selection Process

The selection of candidates is only based on a Combined Written Admission Test (C-WAT).
Questions will be mainly from the 12th standard Physics/Chemistry/Biology portions.
Entrance Exams are conducted all over India as per the institution notification during admission time each year.

B.Sc (Nursing)

1st year: Rs.70,000 (approx)
2nd year onwards: Rs.65,000
Hostel Fees:Rs.31,990 (Includes mess fees and laundry)

An initial deposit of Rs.10,000 has to be made at the time of selection itself. This amount will be adjusted to the fees that is paid on a later date.

M.Sc (Nursing)

Course fees per year : Rs. 1,10,000

The hostel in the Army Institute of Nursing presently located at Narangi Military Station is a beautiful campus with secured environment. Rooms in this hostel can accommodate 2 students so they have a good opportunity to study without any disturbance. This hostel provides excellent mess & lodging facilities.
The hostel is surrounded by the natural beauty of the hills. The gardens in the hostel is also conducive for study. Games, sports as well as health facilities are present in the hostel premises.

Placements available in Assam State government hospitals
Placements are also available in other nursing homes, hospitals & private teaching institutions.
Excellent remuneration can be expected for Graduates from this institute.
All past students are successfully placed in various institutions with a good pay.
Some graduates of batch 2010 to 2016 were selected for Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service.

Important update about 2018 admissions at Army Institute of Nursing, Assam

Prospectus for 2018 admissions are available from 15th January 2018.
The Application Form as well as the Prospectus can be downloaded from the website of the college.
The Cost of Prospectus is Rs 450/- (By Hand – through DD). It costs Rs 500/- (By Registered Post – through DD).

Please do not forget to submit the willingness certificate after the selection process, if you obtain a good ranking. If the willingness certificate is not submitted, you will not be considered as a candidate and you will also not be placed on the reserve list (waiting list).
