Eligibility for B.Sc. (Nursing)
1. Only female candidates are eligible to apply
2. Candidates should have passed HSC or equivalent examination with an aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (For SC/ST candidates not less than 40% aggregate is essential).
3. Should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st december of the admission year.
Eligibility for Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)
1. Only female candidates are eligible for admission.
2. Candidates should have passed Diploma in Nursing from a recognized School of Nursing.
3. Should have registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.

Eligibility for M.Sc. (Nursing) in KMCH College of Nursing
1. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
2. Candidates should have passed B.Sc Nursing Degree with 55% marks either from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University or any other University accepted as equivalent there to.
3. B.Sc Nursing graduates should have at least 1 year of experience in a Teaching hospital or in a college or in a School of Nursing after registration with the Nursing Council.
4. Should have registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai
Eligibility for PhD. In Nursing
1. The candidate should have completed M.Sc. Nursing with first class (55% marks) from an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
2. Minimum Five year of work experience after M.Sc. (Nursing).
3. Candidate shall be medically fit.
Eligibility for Post Basic Dip in Emergency & Disaster Nursing
Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with one year clinical experience from the date of registration with Nursing Council.
Eligibility for Post Basic Dip in Critical Care Nursing
Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with one year clinical experience from the date of registration with Nursing Council.

Admission For NRI Candidates in KMCH College of Nursing
1. NRI status should be explicitly shown with the financial support being identified. It should be issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
2. Certificate of Relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.

Labs: There are laboratories for Anatomy as well as Nutrition and Fundamentals of Nursing. All the other laboratory requirements as per the Indian nursing council are available in the college of nursing.
